Introduction
Greetings,
This blog is focused on my Fulbright Specialist Project at IAMO.
This first post will provide some relevant links and background information.
First, here is the site for the scholars at IAMO. The primary focus is developing policy recommendations in agriculture and commerce to support emerging nations in central and eastern Europe. http://www.iamo.de/en/
Within IAMO, I will have the honor of working with Dr.Vladislav Valentinov and the Structural Change Department - headed by Prof. Dr. Alfons Balmann (Director).
Generally, my expertise is in the science of conceptual systems (including theories, policy models, and strategic plans). My research and practice looks at the internal structure of conceptual systems - how causal propositions are related. By measuring the structural relatedness of those propositions, we can show how our conceptual systems are improving. In short, now have the ability to develop and apply theories and policies that are more likely to be useful in the real world - more likely to reach their stated goals.
I am honored to have been selected for this project and wish to express my deep appreciation to Fulbright, IAMO, and my supportive colleagues. President Dr. Katrina Rogers at Fielding Graduate University, my Department Chairperson Dr. Rebecca Loehrer at Capella University, and Dr. Vladislav Valentinov at IAMO.
Thanks to all,
Steve
